Ok i have a complicated windows folder...only the smartest need to answer!?

when i go to open a folder by double clicking on it in windows system it opens up the search command...If i right click on a folder the following options are displayed:

so i have to right click on every folder .... is there anyway to fix this? ive delt with it for a few months now...

I am running a newer Sony with Windows XP Pro

Try this:

Right click START Button

Select Explore

On Menu Bar click %26lt;Tools%26gt;

Select Folder Options...

Click on %26lt;File Types%26gt; Tab

Click on the folder Icon that says %26lt;File Folder%26gt;

Click on the %26lt;Advanced%26gt; Button

Click on the %26lt;New%26gt; Button

Enter "explore" into the %26lt;Action%26gt; Text Box (no quote marks)

Enter "C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe" into the %26lt;Application used to perform action%26gt; Text Box (no quote marks)

Click %26lt;OK%26gt;

There should be a new %26lt;explore%26gt; entry in the Actions box.

Select %26lt;explore%26gt;

Click %26lt;set Default%26gt; Button

Click %26lt;OK%26gt;

Click %26lt;Close%26gt;

Try out by double clicking on a folder!!!!

I have never heard of this issue, but I did a little search and this is one website page that came up in my search results.

It involves editing the registry which I don't know if you are familiar with but it isn't that difficult. Just BE SURE to BACKUP the registry first!!!
