Will Windows XP work on my computer?

I have Windows 2000 pro 500 MHz processor 192 MB RAM about of 8 GB of space on my hard drive I know it will run but will it run fine?

Well....if windows 2k works then it will probably run ok...but slowly. If you plan on using xp for gaming or another intensive resource drain, you may be better off to upgrade. Plus, 8 gig is not going to last you long...assuming that the upgrade doesn't use all of that space.

i had Windows 2000 pro 500 MHz processor too but i was yourer and compter stuip and did not take good care of it and it did not work to well i had to get a new pc so it up to you if it works or not.
I guess so. I have it and it works perfectly fine. But for a 500MHz, I dunno.
It will be a little sluggish- The old school thinking is that if you upgrade from one version of windows to the next without upgrading your hardware, the newer version will run slower then the previous one. When they update the software they usually don't make it smaller, they make it bigger meaning it will use up more resources then the previous version.

Your processor is a little slow and you really need more ram to use XP efficiently,. I recommend at least a 1Ghz processor and 500MB of ram.
