How can I deauthroize Windows XP serial number and reinstall it to a new computer.?microsoft outlook internet explorer
there is information about that on the microsoft site u need to contact suport and explain what u want to do.
all you should have to do is reinstall it on the other one.
XP takes a hardware signature from the computer on which the key was first used during install. When you install XP again, and it sees the keycode is already used, it will say you have to activate windows. When you go to activate it, it won't work, and you'll have to call the automated micro$oft chick who will guide you through the process. Basically, you have to call MS to reactivate after the install. Just tell them you are installing it on the same computer, but you upgraded at least 3 pieces of hardware and the signature is coming back as invalid.
