My XP PRO won't boot!?

XP PRO....it keeps saying that Windows did not start properly etc etc etc the last time. Then it freezes...!! Or it offers a choice of Safe Mode or last known best working set up etc ..we've tried highlight all teh diferent choices...but it always reffers back to the same page of choices?

try a system restore:

START%26gt;ALL PROGRAMS%26gt;ACCESSORIES%26gt;SYSTEM TOOLS%26gt;RESTORE

The process is self-explanatory, just choose a date before these symptoms were occuring.

If this fails, do a 'clean' re-install....see link below for details

Put in the windows cd on boot-up and repair windows.
Format your pc. No use trying other remedies. Save your time and energy.
If you are sure you have ALL the optons, even the SAFE mode option then be sure that the current windows nstallation has become corrupted beyong repair. Do not try and repair the existing windows installation for it won't work, just re-install WIndows Xp with the installation CD by setting the pc to boot from the CD-ROM/RW or whatever u'v got...
as long as u used the option of use the last working configuration and it did not work then i dont think u can fix it anymore. anyway u can use the ERD commander to check it out for u and may be fix it or install a new fresh windows.
