Apple.

Apple computers are beyond compatible these days. For instance, when saving a document in Microsoft office on an Apple it gives you a compatability report. It tells you what problems you will run into based on what version of Microsoft office the 'reader' is using (PC or Mac). A PC will not tell you about how to make your file error proof for any version of office.

1. They are more secure and more stable (out of the box, no downloading or purchasing protection software).

2. There are virtually no viruses, spyware, adware, malware, grayware, trojans for apple computers. Anyone with a windows based computer can tell you how many problems they have with those.

3. Apple computers are more intuitive (meaning you can do what you want, how you would think to do it). They are also great with life things like music, pictures, videos, etc.

4. Most of windows is stolen from Apple software. They started the Trashbin idea (which Bill Gates ripped off as the "Recycle Bin"). They are the trendsetters and the groundbreakers in terms of software and design. Windows lags pitifully behind.

Windows is more common, but remember, McDonalds is the most common restaurant. That is no indication of its quality or strength. Anyone who says windows, has never owned an apple. People recommending Apple computers have owned both.

Can't believe you actually ask the question. OSX!
are you seriously putting windows in that question???
No, no. Wait until Windows Vista comes out. The release date isn't that far away and is supposed to be a lot better. I hate Apple's computers. More things are coming compatible with them, but they're still not as good as good 'ol Windows. :D
OS-X is a beautiful, elegant interface built on solid UNIX underpinning.

Windows XP has exponentially more software available and is built on NT technology.

It all comes down to this: Artsy Chicks dig Macs. If that is important to you, get a Mac. Otherwise go with the PC.
i think u sud go for xp..coz almostr every software n driver u ll find compatible to xp..but prblm cud be there wid mac
while many say it's OS X, you can't deny that XP is commonly known and widely used around the world.

Windows XP is preferable especially for small businesses and family pcs, since it is easy to interact with, smooth in organization, and very neat in installing programs and devices. regardless of its minute flaws, large companies have invested in thousands of dollars for this software.

Macintosh is quite known for it's durability and high efficiency, but i prefer respectable brands like Dell or Toshiba.

try the Toshiba Satellite Series. it's windows XP based with a good price and outstanding features and capabilities.
Judging by the crazy error messages I get on my Windows XP system, I'd go with Mac OSX. I've had all kinds of problems the whole time I had Windows XP. As for Mac computers, I am just impressed with how fast they are...not to mention the graphics and iLife is pretty cool.
