I have windows XP pro, and on my laptop when reading long page(s) I can click the center button and a round circle with two arrows appears to indicate that the page is in auto scroll mode, by gently moving the mouse down the page begins to smoothly scroll down, but even at the slowest level it scrolls too fast for comfortable reading. I've looked in my mouse settings but did not see any where I could adjust this rate? any ideas?

IDK why it does that for you. It usually has to do with how far you moved away from the spot you clicked the scroll wheel
