How can i reinstall windows?

I disabled my administrator account by mistake on my PC,, now I am running it with the guest account and it will not allow me to install or uninstall any thing.

I would like to format the entire PC and reinstall windows XP Pro, I have the genuine cd but I need something to start the PC on safe mode or something because when I insert the cd and restart the computer it ignores it and reboots normally, what do I need and where can I get it.

Please help

How can i reinstall windows?microsoft windows

if u created this administrator account(which has been disabled) manually then i've a quick solution...

press restart and keep pressing "F8" button.......a black screen with white text will be appeared....

start computer in safe mode

now log in to the administrator account which was created automatically at the time of installation......(generally user name is "admin" or "administrator")

and create another admin account to easily access.....

if not

then restart computer and keep pressing "del" or "F3" (it varries)until the bios screen opened.....now go to "boot" tab by key board arrow keys...now set the cd rom as highest priority......

if u specify the motherboard company then one can give u more details on bios settings...

now insert ur windows xp pro cd into cd rom and save settings of bios and exit....

is ur win xp set up running now ?....

You will need to set your BIOS to boot from the CD. If you put up the make of your computer, I could help you further.
Enter the BIOS(usually F1 or del at boot...just keep pressing it) and change your boot order so that the CD-rom is higher than the hard disk. Or just make the CD-rom the first boot item. Place the CD in and reboot. It should say "Press any key to boot from CD". You will then be able to format the drive and reinstall Windows.
When you start your computer press f1 or f2 and go into the setting it depends on your computer some computers use f1 some f2 some other.when you go into the setting go were it says start up and make first start up from the CD not from the hard drive then save and exit.now if you insert the installation disk in the CD drive and start computer the computer goes first to the CD drive to boot up, if there is no CD in the drive then it will go to c: drive to boot up.this way you can boot up from the CD and install windows.but wait before you do all of that go to start control panel then user account then create a new account then after you create a new account go again and chose change account and make it as administrator. you solved the problem this way without formatting.
you need a brain and it's too late to get one.
