Does anyone know of a good 2.5" HDD Enclosure that is bootable with Windows XP Pro w/ SP2? I'm interested in buying an external enclosure for my 2.5" HDD, but I want to get one that will let me install Windows XP onto it, and be able to boot off of it as well. Does anyone out there have, or know of, one like this?

Microsoft says it can't be done but have a look at this reference, he was able to install windows and run it off his usb drive. I don't think the hard disk enclosure has anything to do with it though. It applies to any external hard drive or USB flash drive.

You can boot from a USB device as well as install Windows XP and be able to boot from it.
However, it's actually a question if your motherboard supports booting to a USB device in the first place. If your motherboard support booting from a USB device, then it will work, if the motherboard doesn't , then you can't.
