Login problem with REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION in win xp pro.?microsoft updates

I think you'll find that there is a problem because the traffic is being sent across port 3389 for both machines. You might want to reassign the portal machine (the one people are using RDP to log into most of the time) to a different port.

Make sure you backup your registry before making any changes.

1. Start Registry Editor.

2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControl...

3. On the Edit menu, click Modify, and then click Decimal.

4. Type the new port number, and then click OK.

5. Quit Registry Editor.

Now to connect to this machine, instead of connecting to just the IP address, use IP address and port (i.e., 192.168.10.10:3390, if 3390 is the port you changed in step 4 above).

Login problem with REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION in win xp pro.?windows server 2003 internet explorer

you need to setup another user id.....you can't be logged in twice......besides that....why do you need to login to each of the computers anyways? You could just use netmeeting (built into the os, you just have to start it) or some other desktop sharing type program.....or just share the files you are trying to access across the network? It would be so much easier, and less complicated.
it's normal actually, because remote desktop in window xp was set to work as the way you mention above

but if your both computers installed with window server 2003, then it's different, although your first computer login, and if you try use second computer to connect the first computer with remote desktop, both also will remain login
