Is Windows Xp Home Edition Better Than Windows Xp Professional?microsoft updates
No, At its most basic level, XP Professional is a business- and power-user oriented superset of Home Edition. Because this orientation, it includes features that wouldn't be appropriate, or would be too complex, for the typical home user. The most obvious difference is security, which is vastly simplified in Home Edition. Each interactive user in XP Home is assumed to be a member of the Owners local group, which is the Windows XP equivalent of the Windows 2000 Administrator account: This means that anyone who logs on to a Home Edition machine has full control. Likewise, the Backup Operators, Power Users, and Replicator groups from Windows 2000/XP Pro are missing from Home Edition, and a new group, called Restricted Users, is added. Hidden administrative shares (C$, etc.) are also unavailable in Home Edition.
"Professional Edition is a strict superset of Home Edition," Everything you can do in Home Edition, you can do in Pro. So we do think there are home users who will buy Pro." With Windows XP, the Professional Edition is finally a superset of all the desktop clients that came before (Windows Me and Windows 2000 Professional) as well as of its new sibling. So when discussing the differences between the editions, it's best to simply describe those features in Pro that you can't get in Home Edition.
Bottom line, save your money and get Windows Vista when its released. And keep what you got for now. Theres always a new windows released so offtenly.
Is Windows Xp Home Edition Better Than Windows Xp Professional?windows server 2003 internet explorer
I've had both Home and Professional...There aren't many difference between the two. Pro still crashes. There's no real point in upgrading. If anything, go for Vista.
U r right. Win XP pro is better than home edition. As XP pro have some spl facilities of networking. you can do several job at same time. But Xp pro shoulg be genuine not pirated other wise u will experience very problem.
hi there..
Honestly there are some capabilities winxp pro has that is lacking from home.
It's alot of things, some of which is that pro has better file management and security. The best stuff is the remote desktop connection w/c enables other user, typically a techsupport person to remotely control/troubleshoot your pc.
I advise you to upgrade.. get security locally + alot of features
They are the same Operating System. One is not more crash prone than the other or faster. The only noticeable difference between Home and Professional is...
Domain membership - Home Edition cannot be used to logon to an Active Directory domain. For obvious reasons, the Domain Wizard is also missing in Home Edition.
I use pro because I can have more than one process going at the same time.
Both are fine so it depends on what you want to do.
