When i play pc games on xp pro they run in a small window, with black borders???HELP!!?

ok, basically i play old games, such as diablo 2, sam n max, monkey island, red alert, etc from my childhood. These games are all from around the 90's but when i play them they run in a small screen, with black borders. And its starting to annoy me.

Is there a way i can run these games in fullscreen??? I have tried chaing my resoultion and that doesnt help. I have also tried the video options in game but that doesn work either..

Its probably soemthing really simple but im clueless and the internet is useless.

I have a toshiba satellite pro 4600 pentium 2 or 3 i forget, regardless should be more than enought to run these games.

Any help woulld be grreatly appreciated.

Satellite? That's a laptop, with LCD, right? You should have settings for you screen somewhere, where you can choose, how 640x480 pixel image is shown on your LCD, whatever it's dimensions are. Stretched fullscreen, or, as it apparently is shown now, centered. Most likely on your Control Panel/Display, or Control Panel/whatever your graphix card is.

Try holding ALT then hit enter. Should take you to full screen.
