Can I downgrade from Win XP to Win 2000 Pro?

I have a Pentium 2 with Windows 2000 Pro installed.And I was thinking to upgrade to XP.But if my computer will run slower with XP can I downgrade back to 2000 Pro?

You can always downgrade back to 2000 Pro. Just reformat the drive again. Make sure you keep a backup of your data and program discs.



If you want to do a test, you can install XP on a separate partition on your hard drive. If you like it, delete the install of 2000. If you don't, then just delete the install of XP.

You can't go back to 2000 without formatting the drive
Yes as long you have a bootable Cd for 2000 pro. I know win Xp don't need a Bootable CD but I am not sure of the win 2000 pro
Yes you can but you would need to carry out a fresh installation, so back everthing up first.



I think people tend to forget how good Win2k can be.
Yes your computer will be slower on xp. windows 2000 needs a minimum of 64 mb of ram and xp needs 128 minimum. And yes you can always downgrade back to 2000, you just need an xp install disk. The install disk will format your hard drive though
